hi! i’m kaitlyn.
a registered psychotherapist (qualifying) supporting individuals with anxiety and trauma, virtually across ontario, canada.
if you're ready to reconnect with your own voice and confidence, i'd love to work with you.
areas of focus
if any of these feel like part of your story, you're in the right place. most people bring more than one of these into the room, and that's okay.
-
trauma doesn't always look like one big event. sometimes it's what built up slowly in childhood, or patterns passed down through your family that were never yours to carry. wherever it shows up for you now, we'll work through it together, at a pace your nervous system can actually handle.
-
anxiety that won't quiet down. burnout from always showing up for everyone else. a nervous system stuck in fight, flight, or fawn long after the threat is gone. we'll work on understanding what's underneath it, so there's more room for what actually feels good to you.
-
complicated relationships, with family, partners, or friends, have a way of making you doubt your own voice. we'll work through those patterns together, so you can feel more grounded in who you are, not just who you are to everyone else.
-
figuring out who you are, especially in the middle of a big life change, doesn't have to mean having it all figured out. this is a space to sit with the questions without pressure to rush the answers.
-
navigating cultural expectations or a religious upbringing, especially when they don't fully fit who you are now, can feel isolating. we'll work through it at whatever pace feels right for you.
therapy services and session fees
i offer virtual individual therapy for teens (16+) and adults across ontario, canada, and in the bahamas. you can do this work from wherever feels safest to you.
sessions are held over secure video. our work together is relational, paced, and shaped around what you actually need, not a one-size-fits-all approach.
individual sessions: $150 for 50 minutes
extended sessions: $185 for 75 minutes
as a registered psychotherapist (qualifying), i can provide receipts for extended health benefits. it's worth checking with your provider to confirm what's covered.
questions you might have about working with me
-
virtual therapy happens over secure video, from wherever you feel most comfortable. it's important that you're in a private, confidential space for our sessions, somewhere you won't be overheard and can speak freely. many people find virtual therapy just as effective as in-person sessions, and it can feel a little easier to open up from a familiar space.
-
i don't bill insurance directly, but i can provide receipts for extended health benefits. as a registered psychotherapist (qualifying), coverage depends on your specific plan, it's worth checking with your provider beforehand to confirm what's included.
-
we'll briefly go over the intake forms you completed ahead of time, then spend most of our time just getting to know each other, at whatever pace feels comfortable. this often carries into the second session too, there's no rush to cover everything at once. feel free to bring questions or a list of things you'd like to talk through.
-
i'm registered with the college of registered psychotherapists of ontario (CRPO) as a registered psychotherapist (qualifying), and i work virtually with folks across ontario.
i also work virtually with clients in the bahamas, where psychotherapy isn't a regulated profession, though i hold myself to the same crpo standards and ethics regardless of where a client is located. -
my approach is relational and trauma-informed. i believe in meeting you exactly where you are, not where i think you should be. that includes making space for all the different parts of you, even the ones you're not proud of, with curiosity instead of judgment. there's no script here, we figure out together what you need, and the work shapes itself around that.
-
that's okay, and it happens. i'm not the right therapist for everyone. if we meet and it doesn't feel like the right match, i'll gladly help you find someone who is.
